After speaking with my lecture Les, he gave me the photographer Duane Michals to research into the idea of links and stories, and how I can incorporate them into my own photographical study.
I love the way in which Duane composed his images into a grid, where they all either progress photographically or form a narrative behind the subjects life. In the photographs above, there is a development within the photographs, whereby the person who has seemingly just got off a train, has been hit by a bright light, which suddenly changes into the universe. This got me asking myself many questions; why the reference?
I have decided, after looking at the work of Michals, that I will have some sort of link between my subjects, not just through holding another persons photograph, but a chain between all my subjects.
